1700+ Participants “Caught the Wave” at the 4th Annual Teacher Week at the Beach Event
Educators from the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York areas enjoyed another great Teacher Week at the Beach event at the Jersey Shore this month. Brought to you by Plymouth Rock’s Teachers’ Insurance Plan of NJ, lucky participants received free beach passes and the choice of aquarium or mini golf passes. Each registered educator and their chosen guest were treated to a day at the beach, along with other freebies and giveaways from the NJ-based auto insurance company. The event, now in its fourth year, ran from July 31 – August 2 at Jenkinson’s Beach and Boardwalk in the iconic resort town of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.
“Celebrating teachers and thanking them for their service and dedication is something that we absolutely love to do,” said Chris West, one of the event’s organizers. “It’s an honor. These teachers work harder than most of us ever realize and sacrifice so much of themselves. They deserve way more than this, but we are so glad to have this opportunity to do our part.”
The Teacher Week at the Beach event has hosted nearly 8,000 participants since its inception in 2016. This year’s event was the first to include educators from PA and NY. “Teachers Insurance Plan has been serving NJ educators for a couple of decades now, and we’ve been coming alongside the teachers and schools here for a long time,” said West. “Now that we’ve expanded our services to PA and NY, we can take that same passion for educators and bring it to a wider community.”
“We want to keep this going. Each year, more and more educators find out about it and get involved. And, fingers crossed, this is the fourth year without any rainouts.
