Build Social-Emotional Learning & Critical Thinking Via Writing: Structured Writing Instruction that Works

Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) is both a set of student strategies and a method for delivering instruction for teachers that develop student ownership and confidence, allowing them to take responsibility for their own learning. thinkSRSD is a team of educators who offer professional learning on evidence-based practices for teaching writing, and for academics researching these subjects.  TCNJ is hosting an event which will be led by Pooja Patel, the co-director of thinkSRSD and a teacher for the United Nations School. Upon completion of the course participants will receive a certificate for twelve hours of professional development, but, more importantly, educators will return to their classrooms with exciting new ways to teach writing.
