Mind Matters: Focusing on Student Social & Emotional Well-being.

When schools support social and emotional well-being, students typically have fewer disciplinary issues, can focus more on school work, and can develop skills to communicate better. This can translate to improved academic outcomes and better health later in life. The Mary Jo Health Education conference was created to emphasize the importance of students’ social and emotional well-being. Health and physical education professionals, school nurses, K-12 classroom teachers, and administrators looking for new resources, new teaching strategies, and up-to-date health information should attend. Registration for this event closes on 12/5/19.
