Liberty Science Center has announced a new programs and scholarships for the 2018 school year.
In conjunction with the Teachers’ Insurance Plan of NJ, LSC has announced a new Professional Development scholarship, and that the insurance company will be sponsoring their Teacher Preview Days.
Liberty Science Center is no stranger to understanding the needs of science and technology educators. They offer leading-edge professional development classes, workshops, and preview days which are in alignment with the latest national standards.
Professional Development Scholarship
Each year, LSC plays host to cutting-edge PD events (or experiences as they like to call them). These events are designed to help support teachers’ individual classrooms as well as their school’s science program.
Each month, through their partnership with Teachers’ Insurance Plan of NJ, they will be offer a PD Scholarship.
Teachers’ Insurance Plan of NJ will select two recipients to receive the Professional Development Scholarship.
Winners will be award a scholarship to be used towards any Professional Development session of their choosing.

Teacher Preview Days
Liberty Science Center also offers free Teacher Preview Days to science and technology teachers throughout the school year.
These days include: networking opportunities, live demonstrations, STEM program and worship previews, a free film, and free exploration of LSC for the remainder of the day.
There are some nice perks that go along with these days — free breakfast, raffles, and discounts throughout the center for the family members of those participating in Teacher Preview Day.
And to top things off, you get two professional development hours.
