Asking questions that generate thoughtful responses has several important purposes (assessing understanding, building understanding and explaining learning) that will encourage student engagement and better learning. In this workshop, teachers will learn about these reasons and the skills and techniques that can be used to foster productive higher-level questioning in the classroom.
