The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) set the expectations for what students should know and be able to do. This workshop will focus on ways to stimulate student interest through the use of the NGSS. Topics of discussion include the three Dimensions, the Performance Expectations, use of Claims-Evidence-Reasoning (CER), and Prediction-Observation-Explanation (POE). Not only will participants learn new ways to implement the NGSS, but they will receive lessons, handouts, and other resources to continue inspiring students in the world of science.
