Join sociologist Betsy Erbaugh in discussion and hands-on activities to explore gender and sexuality as socially constructed categories that shape history, science, literature, and tools for measuring social change over time. She is studying the impact of LGBTQ-inclusive curricula on school climate and student well-being. From the community-based research she has conducted and her partnership with local LGBTQ+ organizations, she has much to share with teachers of all subjects in middle and high schools. Participants will receive 6 professional development hours!
