Teachers’ School of Ecology Offers an Opportunity to Earn PD Credits and a Stipend?!

Stipend

The New Jersey Audubon, one of the oldest independent Audubon societies, is offering professional development for teachers of grades 4-8 this summer! Participants will be able to experience hands-on, inquiry-based learning involving environmental issues (ecological concepts and practical uses).  Learning that can be placed into already established curriculum while exploring the ecosystems of the Passaic Watershed.

Participants will…

“—Receive free NJ-specific curricular materials and other supplemental information and resources.

— Earn 30 professional development hours

 —Receive a $250 weekly stipend for the participation of all five days.


* The Teachers School of Ecology is limited to 14 participants.
* We encourage teams of teachers from schools or from within districts to apply; please consider
asking others from your school or district to join in the fun!”
