Reinventing and Reimagining the High School Mathematics Classroom (Grades 9-12)

January 31, 2020 @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

$149
Male high school student writing a math equation on a white board with female teacher with long, brown curly hair standing next to him

The need to catalyze change in high school mathematics is imperative. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, high school NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress) scores have remained essentially flat for decades. Far too many students graduate high school without the necessary quantitative and problem-solving skills to succeed in college and in the workplace. Dr. Eric Milou will discuss realistic steps to make serious changes in the math community. Attendees will receive five professional development hours upon completion of the course.
