NJEA Urban Education Symposium

October 20, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - October 21, 2017 @ 3:30 pm

$59

Understanding N.E.A.R.: Neuroscience, Epigenetics, ACES, Resilience –Building Capacity and Creating Self-Healing Communities

The objective of this event is to build “self-healing, thriving” people in our urban communities by understanding the role that distress and suffering (both historical and generational) have on children in the prenatal phase until 3 years old and the impact on the subsequent years as they grow and develop.

As described on the site, “We will use an Open Space Technology (OST) methodology to explore the possible ways to implement the new learnings. Open space meetings result in transformative experiences for the individuals and groups involved. It is a simple and powerful way to catalyze effective working conversations and to truly invite organizations to thrive in times of swirling change.”

This event will earn participants 6 hours of Professional Development, but you must stay for the entire session to receive a certificate.

Dinner and Breakfast will be served.  Program and meals are included in the registration fee.
