In the spirit of EDCAMP (an “unconference”) which is known for demonstrating teacher-led professional development, NERDCAMPNJ is a literacy inspired professional development event with workshops led by teachers, librarians, students and authors. In fact, there will be over 50 authors in attendance this year. Some of the speakers include (other speakers have yet to be announced):

Although this event is FREE, donations are welcome and will help with costs associated with the event (cost of using the facility, supplies and clean-up).  You can buy an event t-shirt or purchase a donation ticket to help keep future events, free.

At this unconference, you will be able to participate in professional learning that benefits you—there are no mandatory workshops or sessions that you are required to participate in.  You are free to come and go as you wish.
