THEME – ACADEMICS IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS: School Gardens and Beyond.

This conference exists to help schools (on an individual basis) who have an outside garden or are looking to start one. There are numerous benefits for students to be involved in outdoor education and in providing appropriate settings to discuss and explore environmental issues.  This event will take you further than just knowing about it, by helping you GET STARTED or enhance an already existing program.

Specific event details:

“ — The day features a variety of morning whole group presentations of general interest, and afternoon specific-interest demonstrations, make-and-take tables, and several outdoor agencies and organizations that offer unique opportunities for educators to build and improve their outdoor classrooms, curricula, and student experiences.

–Afternoon interest stations on a wide variety of topics and resources for        school gardens and environmental education, allow for networking and    discovery, so each attendee can pursue their areas of interest.”
