Enjoy the great outdoors, earn ACT credit hours, and discover how much your students can learn from hiking. It goes without saying that we want today’s youth to stay active and be healthy, but the PA Bureau of State Parks has outlined ways to teach geography, science, ecology, and the humanities through hiking. Specifically, there will be lessons on trip planning, map reading, and forest ecology. A very “down to Earth” approach that is sure to put a smile on your and your students’ faces!
