August 20, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

FREE
Woman teaching young adults in class setting

This one-day symposium will begin by defining giftedness, creativity, and talent development. Attendees will then learn about the social-emotional needs of gifted youth and how to identify STEM talent. Presenters and workshop facilitators will share teaching and learning strategies to highlight students’ strengths, while keeping them engaged in challenging learning activities. College professors, adjuncts, teachers, administrators, and consultants will gain a better understanding of gifted youth and how to prepare such students for the future. The symposium will close with ways to incorporate podcasts in the classroom, which is just another way to keep up with the ever changing technologies. Lastly, six professional development hours are available for attending!
