Explore Google Apps: Drive, Docs, Sheets and Form
October 29, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
$178For quite some time now, Google has been taking over U.S. classrooms. It seems the speed of the takeover is only increasing. For students, who are digital natives, it just makes sense to do schoolwork on the computer and using apps. For some teachers, the adjustment is a little more jolting. Not only are students using Google in the classroom, teachers are using it to communicate with administration and other teachers. If your district uses Drive, Docs, Sheets and/or Forms and you need to get more comfortable using the tools, this workshop is for you!
This is the workshop for you! In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Forms. The website lists some specific items participants will be able to accomplish in the workshop:
- “Docs-Participants will create documents, share and work on a collaborative document, forms, slideshows, and sheets.
- Drive-Participants will set up their own site, select a theme, add a couple of pages, edit a page, insert a calendar and an item from their drive.
- Sheets- Participants will explore ways to best utilize the grid-like format of the spreadsheet for creative tasks, like quick data visualizations, checklists and lesson plans.
- Forms-Participants will see examples of exciting uses of forms and have the opportunity to create a form on their own, with the support of the instructor.”
It is asked that all participants create a Gmail account BEFORE attending this session.
