The pace of change in education continues to escalate.

Keeping up with latest ideas and practices that will bring success in the classroom is increasingly challenging.

There are new insights with corresponding strategies and constantly shifting demands that come at such a speed that maintaining focus on district and school-based professional development can be quite a challenge.

District leaders seek to help teachers navigate the learning process and stay “on task” with district goals and objectives.  But in the end, teachers MAKE the change that happens in our schools.  In addition, they are best suited to connect district goals and objectives to school staff in a way that increases commitment to common goals by their peers.  That being the case, this session is designed to explore strategies that districts and schools can use to grow and nurture teacher leaders to bring about such change in our schools.
