Before Steven Van Zandt became a member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, he was just another kid who struggled to stay motivated in school. But then Rock and Roll came into play and he’s forever grateful with how music changed the course of his life. Inspired by the connection between music and education, Steven Van Zandt founded TeachRock to empower teachers and students. TeachRock is an arts integration curriculum that uses the history of popular music and culture to help teachers engage students in all subject areas. The TeachRock workshop offers innovative lesson plans, multimedia educational materials, CTCLE credits, and a concert to all teachers FOR FREE.
