General chemistry courses may teach students some of the basics, but they do not prepare students for organic chemistry as the two are fundamentally different. Dr. Roxanne Spencer, Upper School Science Teacher and Science Department Chair from Ranney School in Tinton Falls, NJ, will be presenting ways to incorporate organic chemistry concepts into the general chemistry class. In just one hour, educators will learn that resources like text books may not be enough for a student and that illustrations can go a long way to better understanding the world of science.
