25th Annual NJ Storytelling Festival: “Gleaning Insight from Critical Moments: Working Below and Between the Lines of an Oral Text”

Start the NJ Storytelling Festival off with a workshop exploring the makings of a good story telling piece and enhance your craft!  Festival organizers explain that some leading objectives of the workshop will be for participants to:

  • Experience story using multiple modes of learning: listening, speaking, writing, and movement.
  • Identify and discuss layers of meaning in traditional literature.
  • Connect personal experience to story/text.
  • Apply workshop activities to enrich study and/or teaching of story.

Three Professional Development credits will be awarded to educators for attending the workshop and story performances of the New Jersey Storytelling Festival.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  SEATING IS LIMITED.

Starting at noon, there will be additional storytelling activities including a variety of storytellers telling stories at different times throughout the day, a “Story Slam” and the “Lightening Round.”
